A friend who was frustrated with dinner hour phone solicitations recorded this message on his answering machine. "Hi. We are sorry we are unable to take your call. If you are a salesman, please leave your home phone number and we'll try to call you back during dinner." According to recent surveys, weekly church attenders give an average of 3.4% of their income to charity - well above the 1.9% national average, but well below what most would agree are Biblical standards.1
