To engage every man in America with a credible offer of Christ and with resources to grow.

Serving church leaders who are reaching men.

If you take virtually every problem in America today, at the root of it you will find the failure of a man (e.g. 93% of prisoners are male and 85% of these come from fatherless homes). Today there are approximately 98,000,000 men in America, 63,000,000 of which don't know Christ. Only 8,000,000 of these are active in discipleship. This would be the equivalent of 12 guys playing on a football team and only 1 of them knowing how to play football.

Now, no man fails on purpose – most wake up in the morning wanting to succeed.

Our desire at Man in the Mirror is to come along side pastors and men’s ministry leaders who are equipping men for success.

Chapter 3: A Man and Prayer - Second Excerpt E-mail

Suggestions for Pursuing the Discipline of Prayer

3. Pray regularly with your wife (if married) or an accountability partner.
If married, try praying with your wife every day. Although marriage and prayer statistics are hotly debated, Dr. Tom Elliff, chairman of the Southern Baptist Council on the Family, notes how prayer coupled with regular church attendance and counseling benefits a marriage: “What we have discovered, however, is this: born-again Christian couples who marry . . . in the church after having received premarital counseling . . . and attend church regularly and pray daily together, that the divorce rate is approximately 1 divorce out of nearly 39,000.”
