Vision:
To engage every man in America with a credible offer of Christ and with resources to grow.

Mission:
Serving church leaders who are reaching men.

If you take virtually every problem in America today, at the root of it you will find the failure of a man (e.g. 93% of prisoners are male and 85% of these come from fatherless homes). Today there are approximately 98,000,000 men in America, 63,000,000 of which don't know Christ. Only 8,000,000 of these are active in discipleship. This would be the equivalent of 12 guys playing on a football team and only 1 of them knowing how to play football.

Now, no man fails on purpose – most wake up in the morning wanting to succeed.

Our desire at Man in the Mirror is to come along side pastors and men’s ministry leaders who are equipping men for success.

Norm Miller, principal owner of Interstate Batteries, recalled that in the early 1980s, their competitors were trying to establish independent distributors mimicking the way Interstate had pioneered (e.g., service stations and auto repair garages). Those competitors decided to have a convention.

Norm said, “We had never pulled our customers together, so we decided we better have a convention too—and we decided on Hawaii. We started preparing and it sank in, ‘We’ve never had a convention! What if we mess it up? We could get all our distributors to attend, but really blow it.’ So we thought, ‘What do we do?’”

“We decided we needed to pray.” Interesting choice. When confronted with an unknown, the first disposition of Norm’s heart was to pray.
