Last week we ended on the depressing note of several failed attempts at starting a men’s ministry. Knowledge, however, is a powerful tutor—to know why something doesn’t work is usually a necessary precursor to figure out what will work. This week we move on to how you can build men’s ministry in a church not warm (or even hostile) to men’s ministry. What’s the secret? The secret is that you don’t need a “program” to disciple men. Programs are valuable, but not necessary. Further, if you actually begin producing disciples, a smart pastor is going to support you and give you, within reason, whatever you want to get it done.
