Serving church leaders who are reaching men.

If you take virtually every problem in America today, at the root of it you will find the failure of a man (e.g. 93% of prisoners are male and 85% of these come from fatherless homes). Today there are approximately 98,000,000 men in America, 63,000,000 of which don't know Christ. Only 8,000,000 of these are active in discipleship. This would be the equivalent of 12 guys playing on a football team and only 1 of them knowing how to play football.

Now, no man fails on purpose – most wake up in the morning wanting to succeed.

Our desire at Man in the Mirror is to come along side pastors and men’s ministry leaders who are equipping men for success.

Jesus: The First 30 Years E-mail

Thanks for the flood of emails about Pastoring Men, the concept of an “alphabetized reference section,” and the specific suggestions on anger. I’m in the process of responding to those now….at least the ones that needed a response.

I’m teaching a new series at The Man in the Mirror Bible Study here in Orlando called Hanging Out With Jesus. The men really seem to like it. The current message is “Jesus: The First Thirty Years.”

Did you know that the Bible devotes just 14 verses to the childhood and early manhood of Jesus? Everything we know about Jesus after his birth and until the age of 30 is contained in Luke 2:39-52. Of course, we have exactly the amount of information as God wanted us to have. That leads to two conclusions: 1) He didn’t want us to know very much and, 2) what He did want us to know must be very important!
