To engage every man in America with a credible offer of Christ and with resources to grow.

Serving church leaders who are reaching men.

If you take virtually every problem in America today, at the root of it you will find the failure of a man (e.g. 93% of prisoners are male and 85% of these come from fatherless homes). Today there are approximately 98,000,000 men in America, 63,000,000 of which don't know Christ. Only 8,000,000 of these are active in discipleship. This would be the equivalent of 12 guys playing on a football team and only 1 of them knowing how to play football.

Now, no man fails on purpose – most wake up in the morning wanting to succeed.

Our desire at Man in the Mirror is to come along side pastors and men’s ministry leaders who are equipping men for success.

My “Short List” of Seven Spiritual Disciplines E-mail

A question we hear is, “What is the most important thing I can do to grow in my faith?” It’s easy to come up with a long list, but after four decades of trying to grow and help others grow, here is my list, whittled down to seven:

1. A Disciple-Making Church

The mission Jesus gave us is, “Go and make disciples.” There are many “spin off” or “sub-“ missions, but make sure your church keeps the main thing, the main thing. In my opinion, disciple-making is a better description to shoot for than Bible-believing. Why? Because if you make disciples, you obviously believe, but not necessarily the other way around. And there is a huge difference between attendance and participation.
